Two
It's the number after one: the number that one does not count unless proceeding directly to three. It's also the number of trick or treaters at the Online Folk Festival world headquarters last night. It was our first Halloween in our new condominium, and I figured that lots of kids would come through the community - we're reasonably close to a single-family neighborhood, and an enterprising trick or treater could hit the entire community in a relatively short period of time without doing much walking. I'd lived in an apartment with an interior corridor and locked doors for the last ten years, so I haven't given out any candy in a long time.
We went out the night before to Marc's and got three bags of suckers. We stopped at my wife's parents' home because the Trick or Treat bowl with the hand sticking up through it was still there. We slogged through ridiculous traffic, got home later than we wanted and bolted some pizza to be ready in time. And then -- a whole lot of nothing but leftover Halloween candy. Next year, one bag of suckers will probably be enough. Especially since I'm diabetic.

Online Folk Festival Top 36 of October 2006
Why a top 36? Because listeners at the Online Folk Festival only rated 36 songs in the last month. Local Celtic band Knot Fibb'n comes in with the top slot - another #1 rating for a Central Ohio team. Recent releases are highlighted in red - it's been a slow month for new releases at the top of the charts - most of these tunes are from albums which have been out awhile.
