Peter Case, a fantastic singer/songwriter that I regularly play on Festival Radio, recently underwent open heart surgery. He has no health insurance. A group has been formed to help raise money for his health care, and a benefit concert is in the works.

In other musician health news, Buddy Miller recently underwent triple-bypass heart surgery at Johns Hopkins while on tour with Emmylou Harris, Patti Griffin and Shawn Colvin. No word on whether Buddy has health insurance. His album with wife Julie is scheduled for release next Tuesday (March 10).
