Iris Dement is this week’s featured artist on the Online Folk Festival. I’ll be playing lots of tracks from her new studio album, Lifeline, her first since 1996. Lifeline features Iris singing a collection of old-time gospel tunes produced by Jim Rooney, who produced Nanci Griffith’s classic work from the 80s and plays in her Blue Moon Orchestra.
